OK, I've cleaned up all of my code. I completely validate on all of my pages. I'm still going to do some minor edits behind the scenes, but the pages should be pretty stable. The site displays almost exactly the same in Firefox 2.0.0.4, Opera 9.21 and whatever the hell versions of IE 6 and 7 there are. I've got a lot of code that is duplicated on all the pages, so I'm planning on using more includes to make future changes easier.

Just for the hell of it, I decided to see how close to a perfect SEO Score based on the rules on domaintools.com I could get. I got a 96% on my index page. I'm still tweaking the rest of the site. Check it out here .

I have an embarrassing fact to disclose: I watch professional wrestling. Now, before you laugh, read this explanation of what professional wrestling is by Fark.com member Holly_Wight:

Wrestling is like ancient Greek theatre on the round. It's physical, has villains and heroes, and gets the crowd involved. It's fun. Maybe if you got the stick out of your butt you'd realize most of us KNOW it's "fake" and we watch it because we enjoy the story they're telling, the artful athleticism they display, and the personalities they portray... Not to mention a lot of us have met these guys in person, and found them to be good people (usually) who work like hell to entertain us and rise in their business.

The reason I bring this up is that I was shocked to learn, as I'm sure many others were, that Chris Benoit had killed his wife, Nancy (aka "Woman"), their son, Daniel, and then committed suicide. I've watched this particular wrestler for about 20 years. He's been in incredible physical condition for that entire time and put forth an amazing effort in selling his actions in the ring. It's a sad day for pro-wrestling and its fans.

Welcome to the splorp! redesign. I’m using some nifty CSS stuff that I think looks pretty cool, along with some new graphics by my wife, (internet pseudonym LadyCiani). Oh yeah, I got marriaged. ;D! Check the Photographs section for some pictures of me, my new bride and our wedding.

If you’re using IE6 and stuff looks weird, well, I can’t seem to bring myself to care, anymore. That browser is broken and doesn’t display standard CSS (and often times HTML) correctly. Either upgrade to IE7 (BLECH!) or get yourself a better browser. Get Firefox or even Opera .

For those who have never visited (and those that have), this site is mostly just an online bookmark for me, with some pictures, blog-like posts, one recipe (maybe one day I’ll add more) and one article (see one recipe parenthetical note). If you know me at all, you’ll find that I really enjoy searching the internet, reading websites and annoying people with what I learn. The best way to do that, I find, is to give a link to my little corner of the web.
